Telework Toolkit

This guide is to address how common business activities can be accomplished while working remotely. The guide lists common business activities such as "making a phone call" or "hosting an online meeting" and steps to accomplish these.

1. Accessing CW IT resources while working from home
   1. To do so you may or may not need to establish a VPN connection to CWF. Depending on the application or resource you are trying to access this may or may not be necessary. Below is a listing of common applications and if they require a VPN connection.
      1. Applications NOT requiring a VPN connection
         1. Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams
         2. Equinox
         3. Office 365 (word, excel etc.)
         4. SharePoint sites
         5. Kronos

2. Accessing email
   1. Email can be accessed remotely by either using the Outlook application installed on your machine or by visiting the Office 365 outlook website: https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox

3. Making phone calls
   1. CW's phone system can be used while working remotely. Each CW issued computer will have an installed application named "Equinox." If you do not have Equinox installed on your PC you can use this guide to do so:

4. Instant messaging
   1. CW issued computers have an installed application named "Skype for Business." This application provides instant messaging. 5. Setting up a virtual meeting
   1. CW issued computers have an installed application named "Skype for Business" this application provides virtual meeting capabilities. 6. Document sharing and collaboration
   1. OneDrive provides means of sharing documents and files with co workers as well as team editing of documents. Please refer to the following articles for help with OneDrive.

7. Accessing your work computer at CWF remotely.
