Here are some tips to make sure that you don't get locked out after updating your CW password

Overview

 As part of security best practices, CWF users are required change their domain account password every 90 days.  For users that work on multiple computers and mobile devices, it can be a challenge to keep their password up-to-date across these devices.  User accounts can be frequently locked out when a single password is not updated.

 This document is intended to help users identify possible locations their account passwords are stored, and then update them during the quarterly update interval.

iPhone or iPad

Email:

  • Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap on email account.
  • Tap on your email address. 
  • Tap the Password field, enter your new password and tap Done

  • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.  Tap the “i” next to Staff-Secure.
  • Tap Forget This Network. 
  • Tap Forget again.
  • Back at the Wi-Fi screen, tap on Staff-Secure again.
  • Tap Join Network.
  • Enter your username@cwf.org and updated password, and tap Join.
  • If you get a Certificate screen for cpps1.cwf.org or cpps1.cwf.org, tap Trust.

Windows

Credential Manager:

  • Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
  • Click Windows Credentials
  • Click the arrow next to any Credential that has your username@cwf.org or cwf\username in it.
  • Click Remove.

...

  • Close out of Outlook and Skype for Business.
  • Re-open each application and enter your updated password when prompted.  You may check the “Remember” checkbox

Mac

Outlook:

  • Open Outlook and go to Tools > Accounts
  • Update the password box

...

  • If you have logged onto to any other server or workstation with your credentials in the past 90 days, check each of them to make sure you do not still have an active session.
  • If you VPN from a personally owned computer, update your password for that connection.
