Intended Audience

Employees with an iPhone or iPad who have a cellular connection and need to connect another device to a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Be aware that if you are using your personal device this will use your data plan. Colonial Williamsburg owned/managed cell phones and data plans are covered.

Step-by-step guide

Set up Personal Hotspot

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Personal Hotspot.
  2. Tap the slider next to Allow Others to Join.
  3. Tap "Wi-Fi and USB Only"
  4. Take note of the Wi-Fi password.

The phone will have instructions on how to connect your device to the new Wi-Fi hotspot.
