This is the process an end user needs to go through prior to contacting the helpdesk to setup access to a part (or data mart) of the FDW such as the "Ticketing Data Mart" or the "Products Data Mart".

For security reasons each Data Mart has a gate keeper who is responsible for evaluating the business reasons for access to the data mart and is the point of contact between the business and IT. All requests for that data mart come from that person.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Determine which particular section, or data mart, within the Foundation Data Warehouse (FDW) you would like permissions to. The components are listed in Step 2
    1. If you're not sure which data mart you're wanting access to, consider what type of data is being shown in the pivot table you're looking at or what you're interested in
  2. Determine which point of contact needs to confirm access:
    1. Ticketing - Vaughan, Kimverley (KVaughan@CWF.org)
    2. Hotels - Tutone, Su (stutone@cwf.org)
    3. Dining/F&B- Tutone, Su (stutone@cwf.org)
    4. Products/Retail - Brown, Kiera (kbrown1@cwf.org)
    5. Funds Development - Yager, Jeremy (jyager@cwf.org)
  3. Email the appropriate person/people above to request they contact the IT Helpdesk with a request to give you access. Include, and ask them to include whether you're internal or external to the group of the data mart you want access to. So if you work in Ticketing you would be an Internal user of the Ticketing data mart. This gives you enhanced permissions and functionality that are not appropriate for users outside of Ticketing. The same is true for other data marts.
  4. If you are the point of contact in Step 2, please format your email to the helpdesk like this:
    1. Name of person that needs access: FirstName, LastName
    2. Email address of person that needs access
    3. Data Mart that needs to be added: TIcketing/Hotels/Dining/Products/Funds
    4. Internal/External permissions: Internal/External
