Here are some helpful tips on completing the Annual Asset Inventory.
Add an Asset
- Select Add an Asset
- Enter the T#
- If the asset is unclaimed, you may claim it
- If the asset is already claimed, you will see a message stating the asset cannot be claimed. Click on the red text for a pop up which will include current owner's name. You will need to have the current owner Transfer the asset to you.
- If the asset does not exist in the inventory, you will need to contact the IT Helpdesk.
- Enter the T#
Edit Assets
- Update Location, Room and Description
- If necessary edit the Asset Usage
- "my asset"- select Normal Use.
- "not found" or "not mine"- select No longer In my Possession.
- "no longer need the asset" - select Marked for Return. IT will arrange for the asset to be picked up.
Transferring Assets
- "I want to transfer the asset to a co-worker" - Select the asset, and click on the Transfer Selected Assets button.
- Enter the Transfer To email address.
- Transfers require approvals. The asset will remain on your My Assets list until all approvals are received.
- "I want to transfer the asset to a co-worker" - Select the asset, and click on the Transfer Selected Assets button.
Complete My Inventory
- Select this when all modifications have been completed and your inventory is correct.
