To complete your asset inventory, go to the Asset Tracking System (ATS) at http://assets/, review each asset in your My Hardware Assets list for accuracy, and make any changes necessary so that your list accurately reflects the technology assets in your possession.

Add an Asset

To add an asset you have an your possession that is not reflected in your list, click Add an Asset.

Enter the T# and tab out of the field. 

  • If the asset is in inventory, the rest of the fields will populate. If it is unclaimed, you may claim it by clicking Ok. 
  • If the asset is already claimed, you will see a message stating the asset cannot be claimed
  • . Click on the red text for a pop up which will include current owner's name. You will need to have the current owner Transfer
  • and a popup will tell you who the current owner is. Please reach out and ask the current owner to transfer the asset to you.

Edit an Asset

To edit an asset's description, location, or asset use, click on the asset in the list to select it. Then click Edit Selected Assets.

Update the Building the Room Number to accurately reflect the primary location of the asset. If asset is used mostly at home, select Home Office. 

If necessary, edit the Asset Use.

    • "not found" or "not mine"- select No longer In

    • "no longer need the asset" - select Marked for Return. If you're able, please bring the asset to the IT Help Desk. Otherwise, IT will arrange for the asset to be picked up.

Transfer an Asset

To transfer an asset to its rightful owner, click on the asset in the list to select it. Then click Transfer Selected Assets.

Begin typing the email address of the person to whom you wish to transfer the asset. A list of people will populate. Select the recipient from the list and click Ok.

Asset transfers require the recipient to accept the asset and the recipient's manager must approve
