  1. In your web browser go to https://portal.office.com
  2. If you haven't signed into Microsoft's online products before, you will be taken to a login screen.


  3. Enter your CW credentials (the same you would use to login to a computer), in this case your @cwf.org email and press tab or click on the password field. You will be redirected to a second login screen.  Enter you CW login ID and password.


  4. From this screen you can scroll down to the words "Collaborate with Office Online"
    These are the online versions of your Office 365 products, you can now click on one to use it within your browser.
    Lets take a look at Word Online to explore the Online functionality. Select Word Online and you will be taken to a new window.


  5. This should resemble Microsoft Word, select New blank document to explore saving files online and offline.


  6. You will be taken to the new document page of Word Online, this should resemble the desktop version of Word very closely.
    By default the Online version will save your document as you edit it to your OneDrive cloud.
    All standard functionality of the desktop version of Word can be accessed via the File menu, such as printing.


  7. To save the document locally, open the file menu and go to "Save As"
  8. From here you can select "Download a Copy" to save it locally, as well as save it as different file types.
